Mark A. Humphrey
Vice President and Comptroller
Mark A. Humphrey is vice president and comptroller of Chevron Corporation. His responsibilities encompass corporate accounting, financial reporting and analysis, controls, funded benefits investments and actuarial functions. He also is responsible for Finance Shared Services. He assumed his current position on Jan. 1, 2005.
An Ohio native, Humphrey earned a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 1974. He earned a master's in business administration from Northwestern University in 1976.
Humphrey joined Chevron in 1976 as an analyst on the MBA Development Program, and then held positions of increasing responsibility in the Corporation Comptroller, Chevron Chemical and Chevron U.S.A. organizations. In 1990, he was appointed manager of finance for Chevron Overseas Petroleum's UK operations, and in 1993 vice president of finance for Chevron's P&M Coal Company in Colorado.
From 1996 through 2004, Humphrey's positions included manager, Financial Services Center; general manager of Auditing; vice president of finance for ChevronTexaco Products Co.; and general manager, Finance Shared Services.
Humphrey was born in 1952.
