Chevron is known around the world through our three brands: Chevron, Texaco and Caltex.

Chevron's marketing organization has nearly 6,000 employees who support approximately 25,000 branded service stations.

Trusted by Customers

Our Chevron, Texaco and Caltex brands hold top positions around the world. Chevron and Texaco consistently rank as the "Top 2 Most Powerful Brands" in the United States, according to the Oil Price Information Service. Likewise, our convenience store brand, ExtraMile®, was ranked as the No. 1 convenience store by an independent survey conducted by the CSP Information Group.

Chevron stations serve drivers in the western United States as well as in British Columbia, Canada. Texaco stations can be found in more than 20 U.S. states and in Latin America. Caltex stations are known for their quality in Asia-Pacific countries and Africa.

Around the world, we are adding Chevron patented additives, such as Techron®, to our fuels. Gasoline with Techron® helps keeps engines clean and is now sold in more than 26 countries. Nearly 90 percent of the branded gasoline sold by Chevron worldwide includes Techron®. Markets added in 2007 included Brazil, Colombia and Ireland.

Chevron continues to introduce alternative fuels in markets around the world. A pilot program to sell diesel fuel produced from natural gas (gas-to-liquids diesel) started in California in 2007. Biodiesel also was marketed by Chevron for the first time in 2007, in the Philippines and Portland, Oregon. Chevron's biodiesel also was being tested by buses in California.

Health, Environment and Safety

Chevron's marketing organization ensures that our network of service stations, our product terminals and our transportation fleet operate safely and reliably.

Our marketing group trains employees to promote safety. With thousands of daily deliveries around the world, we strive to make our Road Transport Safety program the best in the industry.

Chevron demonstrates its commitment to both the environment and the communities where we work through our underground storage tank system assessment and replacement program. In 2007, for example, nearly 400 tanks were removed or replaced outside North America.

Maintaining a reliable supply of products is essential to meeting our customers' expectations. In 2007, we processed approximately 4 million fuel deliveries per day at Chevron's 250 terminals worldwide.

Reliability is especially critical during natural disasters. To that end, we maintain spare equipment and supplies in key facilities outside hurricane-prone areas. In 2007, Chevron was able to provide electrical generators, food, water and fuel supplies to communities hit by Hurricanes Felix and Dean in Central America and the Caribbean. We also were able to maintain stable supplies during wildfires in Southern California.
