Highlights of Operations

Chevron owns a research center in Ghent as well as a nearby blending facility, which produces specialized engine and transmission fuels for the automotive, industrial and marine market.

Chevron's presence in Belgium dates back to 1905, when Antwerp became one of the first locations outside the United States where Texaco products were marketed. Then, "the full range of petroleum products" meant kerosene and gas oil for light lamps. After World War II, the company sold fuel in Belgium under the Caltex brand name.
