Under the Caltex® brand, Chevron has established a history of socially responsible and ethical operations and a track record of supporting communities through outreach programs. Our partnerships are designed to help disadvantaged people reach their full potential.

We invest in education, training, charitable events and programs that provide for those in need.

In 2012, we launched Caltex Sew4Life, a sustainable community program aimed at empowering women with new skills to enable financial stability. Our partner, the MyKasih Foundation, provided weekly workshops for low-income mothers who were either sole breadwinners or had many dependents. We also provided startup loans for promising entrepreneurs.

The Caltex brand’s unique reality TV show, Driving Change with Caltex, raised more than $100,000 for MyKasih Foundation. Funds provided scholarships for more than 400 underprivileged students in the states of Penang, Pahang and Perak.

In 2012, we tested an international extension of Chevron’s successful Fuel Your School campaign in Penang. The Caltex Fuel Your School campaign aims to enhance science, technology, engineering and math education in public schools.

Chevron also partners with the Malaysian AIDS Council and Foundation (MAF), which works to increase awareness of HIV and AIDS. The MAF also raises funds to improve the lives of those affected by HIV and AIDS.

We are a founding member of the Malaysian Business Consortium on HIV and AIDS. The consortium was founded by the MAF to manage the impact of HIV and AIDS in the workplace and to minimize new infections through informed lifestyle choices.
