Poland

Record of Achievement

Chevron has been doing business in Poland since the early 1990s, providing Texaco® lubricants for industrial, commercial and consumer applications across the region. Refineries in Poland began licensing Chevron's hydrocracking and hydroprocessing technologies in 1995. In 1996, Chevron won a license for a new ISOCRACKING unit in Gdansk.

Upstream activities in Poland began in the mid-1990s, when Texaco, which merged with Chevron in 2001, explored for oil and natural gas.

Starting in 2009, Chevron began obtaining licenses to explore for shale gas in southeast Poland. All four licenses—Frampol, Grabowiec, Krasnik and Zwierzyniec—are owned and operated by Chevron and together cover nearly 1.1 million acres (4,433 sq km). We began collecting 2-D seismic data from all four areas in 2010.
