Through our subsidiary Chevron Romania Exploration and Production S.R.L., Chevron explores for natural gas trapped in shale rock formations in Romania.

Chevron Romania owns and operates the Barlad Shale concession, a 1.6 million-acre (6,350-sq-km) license in northeast Romania. We have completed a 248-mile (400-km) 2-D seismic acquisition program. In the second quarter of 2014, we plan to begin drilling an exploration well.
