Worldwide, nearly a quarter of all Chevron's Caltex-branded service stations are in South Africa. These retail outlets sell products such as transportation fuels and axle grease.
Caltex has approximately 870 retail outlets, 28 terminals and a fleet of some 132 tanker trucks.
Our Cape Town refinery produces a range of fuels as well as sulfur, liquefied petroleum gas and paving asphalt. Chevron's share in the refinery is 110,000 barrels per day.
A consortium of Black Economic Empowerment business partners and employees holds 25 percent of Chevron South Africa (Pty) Limited, which owns the Cape Town Refinery.
In Durban, Chevron has a significant share in a lubricant oil manufacturing plant and maintains a laboratory and blending plant, which produces lubricating oils and greases.
