AIDS outreach has had some extraordinary results.

From South Africa to San Francisco, we've seen firsthand what a devastating effect AIDS has on the communities where we live and work. So 20 years ago we made it our mission to change that. In that time we've made a lot of progress. We're partnering with the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria to stem the spread of the disease. We sponsor and walk in the San Francisco AIDS Walk to raise money for Bay Area residents affected by HIV/AIDS. As one of the first energy companies to develop a global policy to address the issue, we will continue to help people in communities where we operate lead longer and healthier lives.

Empowering Communities

Caring for South Africans With AIDS

In the Dunoon community near Chevron's Cape Town Refinery in South Africa, more than 50 percent of residents have HIV/AIDS. Chevron helped establish the Dunoon Home Community Based Care Center to serve home-bound AIDS patients.
