Power generation engines are now designed with increased power output and therefore require enhanced lubricant performance. These engines are also designed to operate with a variety of fuel grades. Higher lubricant performance is also needed to compensate for lower grade fuels.
Oronite's technology for stationary power generation is a benchmark for reliability, especially for engines operating on gas. Each type of fuel brings its own complexity and the need to cope with evolving engine designs drives Oronite product performance.
Product Testing
The core of Oronite expertise is our strength in product testing. Every year thousands of operating hours are accrued on our research engines in Rotterdam, on gas engines at actual compressor stations, power generation facilities, and on railroad and river boat fleets. Product development teams in our industrial engines group ensure product performance specifications are continuously validated.
Oronite Products
- Our gas engine additives such as OLOA® 1255 and OLOA 44502 are the performance benchmarks in their market segment and have millions of operating hours in almost every engine model.
- Our zinc free additives such as OLOA 2000 for EMD and GE engines form a railroad industry standard. Several railroad networks approve only the Oronite technology.
