Lou Gibbs

Lew Gibbs, Chevron Fellow

If you count his teenage years at the pump of Standard Stations Inc., Lew Gibbs has worked at Chevron for over 51 years. As the longest tenured Chevron employee in North America and a Chevron Fellow, he is known as Mr. Gasoline not only by his peers, but also throughout the industry. He even helped develop the very first deposit control additive, F-310, a predecessor of Techron. Mr. Gasoline wrote the book – literally – on motor gasolines.

Peter Fuentes-Afflick

Peter joined Chevron in 1988 after receiving his master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan. Peter has held positions of increasing responsibilities in the areas of fuels and lubricants additive research and has led cross-functional technical teams responsible for the development of our exclusive fuel additive formulation, Techron. He also has commercial experience, having been the Consumer Automotive Business Manager for Chevron's North America Lubricants. Currently Peter's research focuses on Chevron's global gasoline product differentiation. He has been lead technical expert for the deployment of Techron in numerous countries.

Manuch Nikanjam

Manuch Nikanjam

An ASME fellow, Dr. Nikanjam is recognized globally for his research and contributions in performance and emissions of diesel fuel and is the author of several technical articles. Manuch invented the first California alternative diesel fuel. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley and has nearly three decades of fuel experience at Chevron, currently managing the Diesel Group within the Fuels Technology Team. He leads a number of industry groups in diesel fuel quality research and development and provides training for various groups.
