Global Marketing and New Business Development Manager Brent joined Chevron in 1981 with a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Stanford University. After a couple years in synfuels research (oil shale), it was clear the technology was going to be shelved as crude prices dropped. So he joined the lubricants industry in 1984. After stints in both process and product technical support of RLOP, Brent moved over to market and product management of finished lubricants. In 1995, he came back to base oils as manager of base oil product development, primarily responsible for commercializing UCBOs. Currently he is manager of base oil marketing and product technology, which includes guiding long-range strategy for RLOP production. "In addition to ensuring our current product slate brings maximum value to our customers, I also project future market trends insuring that Chevron is positioned to be a leader in offering cutting edge base oils that meet or exceed tightening specifications in the most cost-effective way for the customers." bklo@chevron.com |
