Pascagoula Refinery Community Outreach Guidelines
At Chevron's Pascagoula Refinery our concern for the quality of life of our Gulf Coast neighbors and Mississippis environmental uniqueness extends far beyond our plant gates. Chevron believes that providing community support, both through personal involvement and financial assistance, is our responsibility as a good neighbor.
Through Mississippis Chevron Public & Government Affairs Office (headquartered at the refinery), the Pascagoula Refinery contributes over $250,000 annually to sponsor youth development and environmental education programs, and support numerous community and human services organizations.
When allocating contribution dollars, we continue to prioritize programs whose projects are closely connected to the refinerys business interests in Jackson County, such as programs that enhance public education, youth development, and address environmental and social concerns.
Because Chevron operates our business here with the permission and cooperation of our neighbors, programs that benefit communities in Jackson County are given priority consideration.
While Chevron's primary contributions area is Jackson County where a majority of Chevron employees reside we also sponsor or support statewide organizations and programs, particularly those that emphasize environmental education. Among these programs and organizations are the Envirothon high school environmental education program,
Audubon Mississippi, the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science, The Mississippi Office of The Nature Conservancy, and the Mississippi Wildlife Federation.
To determine the eligibility of your organization for Chevron Pascagoula contributions, go to the Community Outreach Index and select your organization's category. Eligibility guidelines and instructions on how to apply for contributions are outlined in each category section.
