Refinery Tours

Every year Chevron welcomes many groups of students, and community and out-of-town visitors to our Pascagoula Refinery.

Chevron Pascagoula offers three standard refinery tours for community and out-of-town adult organizations, upper elementary, high school and college age groups. We will work with our neighbors, educators and adult leaders to customize a tour to address their group's area of interest. All tours are arranged by the refinery's Public & Government Affairs Office, and are generally hosted by Trainers in our Development Group, or Design and Process Engineers.

Standard Tours:

Refinery Tour

Includes a 1.5-hour windshield bus tour of the Operations and Wharf areas, with a half-hour stop at an Operations Control Center where visitors interact with operators who control the refining process using state-of-the-art technology. A 1-hour Refinery Tour without a Control Center stop is also available.

Refinery Environmental Tour

Includes a windshield bus tour through some of our wetlands and forestlands that are home to alligators, water fowls, raccoons, deer and fish. The 1.5-hour tour includes stops at the refinery's renowned 25-acre constructed wetlands area, called the North Mitigation Site, and the successful inter-tidal mitigation site at the refinery's Out-fall Canal on the Mississippi Sound.

Refinery Combination Tour

Includes a shorter windshield tour of the Operations Area and stops at North Mitigation Site and Out-fall Canal. The tours generally take 1.5 hours.

Arrangements for a tour must be made at least two weeks in advance. To book a tour of our facilities contact Public & Government Affairs at pasms@chevron.com
