Hydroprocessing Distillation is a course to help everyone
understand how distillation columns work. This session will describe
how the vapor and liquid flows inside the column and how this achieves
rectifying and stripping. We will review the various types of
distillation hardware, like reboilers, feed furnaces, pumparounds,
sidecut strippers, and stripping steam, and how they impact the products
from the column. We will also review optimization of distillation columns
and typical limits like flooding. We then apply the basic principles to
hydroprocessing distillation.
