Reactor Heater Operation has two different levels.
The first level is geared more towards the safe and efficient
everyday operation of Reactor Heaters (a review of the basic
principles of furnace firing). The second level delves more
deeply into safety and efficiency of the heaters and also will
cover in detail the Furnace Firing Best Practices we have
developed over the years. We discuss coking prevention, tube
cleaning methods, monitoring, TI selection and placement.
Start up, shutdown, and emergency procedures are discussed in
this session. We also can include a field audit of you
firebox(es).
These courses are geared towards all aspects of
hydroprocessing personnel.
Duration:
1-3 hours (Basic) - Level 1
2 days (In Depth) - Level 2
3 hours - Field survey of 1-2 fireboxes (included in 2 day course).
Timing Tip: Our experience tells us that typically scheduling
6 hours per day is about as much as is practical due to
breaks/lunches/etc.
