Who We Are
Chevron sponsors
a number of employee diversity networks that reach out to
participate in making our community a better place to live
and work. After meeting company guidelines, networks receive
corporate support including, but not limited to, leadership
involvement and financial and nonfinancial resources. Not
to be mistaken for social clubs, each network is open to all
employees, has a budget, charter, mission and vision, advisory
board and executive sponsor. The networks are initiated by
employees, are formally structured and must demonstrate how
they support Chevron's diversity objectives, values, vision
and strategy.
Our employee networks and teams include:
The Asian Employee Network provides an inclusive
network of Asian and non-Asian employees to bring the rich
diversity of Asia, both culturally and commercially, to Chevron
and the community.
Black Employee Network participates in community
events such as the Black History Awareness Month, Diversity
Film festival, and Community Clean-up Day.
Women’s Network participates in many
community events, including People Making a Difference Week, and
the Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Ribbon Event.
XYZ (Network of employees in 20-30 age range)
is involved in fundraisers for the Alliance Against Family
Violence, Adopt-a-Highway cleanup, and Richmond Police Activities
League.
SOMOS (Hispanic Employee Network) volunteers
time to a number of community groups, including Alliance Against
Family Violence and California Living museum. Network members
also volunteer at the annual “Navidad en la Plaza del
Pueblo,” a holiday event for needy families.
Additional corporate supported networks active in Chevron
refineries include:
