Doing Business with Us

Chevron Richmond Refinery uses a wide variety of materials and services to
support and maintain our refining processes 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Our Operations and Maintenance & Reliability areas regularly require materials and services that range from piping and hoses to specialty chemicals and supplemental contract labor. Electrical, insulation and environmental service providers are among the many whose valuable services support the refinery’s day-to-day operations.

As a major leader in the highly competitive petrochemical industry, the Richmond Refinery remains competitive by operating efficiently and safely, as well as purchasing materials and services at competitive costs. The refinery's Procurement Team works with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure all material and services meet Chevron's quality, safety and reliability standards, and are competitively priced.

Chevron's Supplier Diversity / Small Business Program

This corporate-wide program's mission is to provide small, minority, and women owned business enterprises with business opportunities, outreach assistance, and information they need to do business with Chevron. Numerous companies in the San Francisco Bay Area have qualified for the program and continue to work as business partners with the Richmond Refinery. Those interested may learn about the program and its qualifications, as well as register their business by completing the on-line registration form at this site: www.chevron.com/about/supplierdiversity/

Information provided by qualifying businesses is entered into a program database according to the business Type and Service(s) provided. This information remains in the database and is available to Chevron's procurement professionals who search the database for suppliers when needs arise.

A qualifying business owner in California will be directed to forward the completed registration form to the area Supplier Diversity/Small Business Coordinator, who is a Procurement Team employee here at the Richmond Refinery.

Supporting Local business Associations

One way the refinery helps support local business and economic development organizations through active membership and participation. Members of the refinery management team serve on boards of directors and major committees with several Richmond organizations.
