Chevron's Supplier Diversity/Small Business program promotes an inclusive business environment for the benefit of the company and its suppliers. The program works with value-added small, minority and women-owned businesses to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions that fuel our mutual growth.

Our Supplier Diversity/Small Business Program consists of:

  • Utilization - integrating strategies to include competitive sourcing opportunities;
  • Training and education - offering training and support for small, minority and women-owned businesses on how to do business with Chevron;
  • Tracking - monitoring and reporting our progress towards achieving our supplier diversity/small business targets with emphasis on continuous improvement;
  • Certification - verifying that businesses meet the criteria of ownership to qualify as a minority, women-owned, small disadvantaged or HubZone certified firm. Certification workshops and training along with partnering with recognized certifying organizations help facilitate the certification process;
  • Outreach - seeking diverse suppliers through active involvement with small business and minority development organizations and participation in various trade show events.
