We’re a global team united by a shared set of values, called The Chevron Way. From our volunteering initiatives to our commitment to diversity and inclusion, you’ll see that our values are so much more than words on a screen – they’re our way of life.
We asked Chevron employees to share what they love about their careers.
Supporting diversity and inclusion is embedded in how we work. By including our team’s diverse viewpoints, we drive innovation and business growth.
We encourage employee volunteerism around the world. In Latin America, the Texaco Regional Youth Development program works with Chevron volunteers to conduct after-school programs, motivate students to stay in school, organize sports tournaments, and help with school improvement projects such as small repairs, cleaning and painting. The program has reached nearly 25,000 students in El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala and Panama.
Chevron is committed to supporting employees, retirees, contractors, and their families and friends in their efforts to strengthen their communities through hands-on volunteerism. In 2015, the 22nd annual Chevron Volunteer Week was held in the San Francisco Bay Area, and nearly 2,200 Chevron employees, friends and family participated in volunteer activities for 100 local nonprofit organizations to complete 220 projects.
By partnering with local communities and nonprofit organizations, we can amplify our positive impact in the communities where we operate. The Houston Food Bank is one of the many community organizations we partner with. During the 2015 Chevron Houston Humankind Campaign, more than 1,500 Chevron volunteers helped sort and package more than 445,000 pounds of food – equating to nearly 362,000 nutritious meals for people in need.
Chevron Humankind supports U.S. and Thailand employees and retirees in their efforts to help enable the causes they care about by providing matching grants for contributions of volunteer time or money.
