Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Eimear Bonner, 50, is vice president and chief financial officer of Chevron Corporation, a position she assumed in 2024. She is responsible for audit, controller, investor relations, procurement, tax and treasury activities worldwide.

Previously Bonner served as chief technology officer and president of the Chevron Technical Center, which provides technical expertise to support Chevron’s global operations and new energy businesses, and develops and applies innovative technologies and digital solutions to support the current and future energy system.

Bonner’s previous leadership roles include general director of Chevron’s largest joint venture, Tengizchevroil (TCO), in Kazakhstan where she led the TCO organization, advancing a major expansion project, managing relationships with stakeholders in the Kazakhstan government, partner companies and the communities, and leading TCO’s organization transformation.

Prior to that, she served as TCO general manager of operations deputy managing director of Chevron’s Eurasia Business Unit, based in Almaty, where she managed Chevron’s non-operated interests in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan; asset manager in Chevron Thailand, where she was responsible for asset development, operations, and technical support for multiple offshore assets; and general manager of Corporate Strategy.

Bonner began her career as an offshore petroleum engineer in the United Kingdom. Over her 25-year career with Chevron, she has held numerous leadership and engineering positions in the United Kingdom, Thailand, Kazakhstan and the United States.

Eimear received her bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast, and her master’s degrees in Advanced Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College, London.
