Unocal 76's VP Of Refining Art Felderman To Retire; VP Randy Howard To Assume Role
COSTA MESA, July 31, 1996 -- Unocal's 76 Products Company announced today that its Vice President of Refining, Arthur Felderman, will retire as of August 1, 1996. Vice President of Supply & Transportation Randy Howard will move into the refining role, effective immediately.
Felderman has been with Unocal for 33 years, the last eight years as a vice president of refining. During his tenure he significantly upgraded the reliability, throughput and operating costs of the Unocal refining system. Felderman was also responsible for the integration of the Carson, Calif. refining facility acquired by Unocal in 1991, he and his team recently completed the CARB Phase II retrofit of the refineries to produce reformulated gasoline on time and $50 million under budget.
Howard has been with Unocal for 23 years. He has held a number of important assignments throughout the company including Manager of the Los Angeles Refinery, where he led cost reduction and improvement initiatives that were later featured in the book Real Change Leaders. Howard also played a significant role in the formation of The UNO-VEN Company and was selected to be the first Vice President of Supply and Transportation for 76 Products Company.
76 Products Company is the marketing, refining, product supply and transportation unit of Unocal Corporation. 76 Products Company has approximately 1,200 branded Unocal 76 service stations throughout the West and operates three California refineries with a crude oil processing capacity of 250,000 barrels per day.
