SAN RAMON, Calif., Jan. 20, 2004 -- ChevronTexaco Global Lubricants (CTGL), a leading provider of heavy-duty engine oils, lubricants and coolants, today announced that its Chevron brand has been selected as the "preferred" coolant by TravelCenters of America (TA). Chevron branded coolant products will be used in TA service bays and for on-shelf sales starting in January of 2004. With over 150 locations throughout the United States and Canada, TA is the largest network of full-service travel centers in North America, serving professional drivers and motorists alike.

"TA understands the critical role coolants play in keeping the trucking industry moving," said Randy Graham, vice president of shop marketing, TravelCenters of America. "Because coolants play such an important role, it's vital for TA to provide its customers with an industry leading solution. After careful deliberation, we selected Chevron coolants because they offer the best value and performance for our customers."

"The selection of ChevronTexaco coolants to supply TravelCenters of America locations in Canada and the United States, further strengthens our position in the marketplace and increases our product availability throughout North America," said Ron Moser, business manager, Coolants, ChevronTexaco Global Lubricants. "Through this agreement, coolants will play a greater role in the ongoing growth of ChevronTexaco Global Lubricants in 2004."

Chevron coolant products offer exceptional performance and protection for cooling systems of commercial vehicles, passenger cars and various industrial applications.
