Texaco Press Release - Barbara J. Dunn Named Assistant to the Chairman of Texaco Inc.

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., Jan 12 - Barbara J. Dunn has been named Assistant to the Chairman of Texaco Inc., effective immediately, Texaco Chairman and Chief Executive, Peter I. Bijur announced today. She currently serves as Assistant to the President of Worldwide Exploration in Bellaire, Texas.
In making the announcement, Bijur said, "Barbara possesses solid financial expertise, proven management and interpersonal skills, and sound technical insight. All of theses attributes will enable her to make a positive impact in her new assignment."
Dunn earned a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting in 1987 from Iona College in New York and is a Certified Public Accountant. In 1991, she joined Texaco from Arthur Andersen LLP as an Assistant Accounting Supervisor in the corporate consolidations group at the company's office in White Plains, N.Y. She subsequently held positions involving both internal and external financial reporting, and consolidated results, before being appointed Coordinator responsible for working with the Tax Department in the recording of U.S. income tax liabilities in April 1994. She was named Assistant to the Comptroller in April 1995.
In 1997, Dunn relocated to Houston when she was named Manager - Accounting Services for the Comptroller's Department. In November 1998, she was appointed to her most recent role.
In her new position, Dunn will transfer to Texaco's Corporate Center in White Plains, N.Y. from Bellaire, Texas. She succeeds Greg M. Vesey, who was recently appointed Vice President, Electronic Business, also based in White Plains.
