Texaco Press Release - Brad G. Miness Appointed Manager, External Reporting
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., April 11, 2000 - Brad G. Miness has been named Manager, External Reporting, effective April 1, it was announced today by Deputy Comptroller, Steven A. Carlson.
In making the announcement, Carlson said, "Brad's knowledge and experience will be invaluable as we continue to meet the challenges presented by the ever-increasing reporting requirements placed on companies today."
In his new role, Miness will continue to be responsible for the preparation of Texaco's annual report to shareholders (where he has been instrumental in placing Texaco at the forefront of the Securities and Exchange Commission's important plain English Initiative), reporting to the SEC, participating in the SEC rule-making process, and supplemental oil and gas accounting.
Miness joined Texaco in 1974 after graduating from Brooklyn College with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. After holding various positions of increasing responsibility in Special Studies and the Financial Reporting Office of the Comptroller's Department, he was appointed Assistant Manager in the Financial Reporting Office - External on April 1, 1990. He was appointed to his most recent position, Senior Coordinator of Financial Policies, in 1994.
