Texaco Press Release - Christopher J. Brookhouse Appointed Assistant to Management
FOR RELEASE: THURSDAY, MAY 4, 2000.
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., May 4 - Christopher J. Brookhouse has been named Assistant to Management in the office of Texaco Inc. Senior Vice President and President, Global Businesses, Glenn F. Tilton effective June 1, 2000.
Brookhouse who is currently Director of New Ventures for Texaco Power and Gasification in Asia succeeds Michele V. Ward, who has been appointed Director of E-business for Texaco's Global Businesses.
In making the announcement, Tilton said, "Chris' diverse energy experience gained across the international arena, coupled with his strategic planning expertise, will be of significant benefit to us in achieving Texaco's business objectives."
Brookhouse graduated with a bachelor of social science degree in economics from the University of Birmingham, Birmingham, England, in 1987, and earned a master of science degree in operational research from that same university in 1988.
Brookhouse joined Texaco Ltd. in the U.K. in 1990 as a Business Analyst in Upstream Business Development Group. He subsequently held positions of increasing responsibility, and was named Manager, Alternate Energy & Resources (UK) in 1993. In 1995, he was appointed Manager International Business Development in the Fuel & Marine Marketing Department and in 1996, Brookhouse was named Regional Manager of Retail Sales for the Eastern UK.
In 1998, Brookhouse was appointed Project Director in the Global Gas and Power Department of Texaco Inc., located in White Plains, N.Y. and was named to his current position one year later.
Brookhouse will relocate from Singapore to Texaco's corporate offices in White Plains, N.Y.
