Texaco Press Release - Corla C. Davis Appointed Assistant to Management
FOR RELEASE: MONDAY, MARCH 27, 2000.
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., March 27 - Corla C. Davis has been appointed Assistant to Management in the office of Texaco Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Patrick J. Lynch, effective April 1, 2000. Davis currently is Commercialization Manager -Trinidad and President of Texaco Trinidad Inc.
"Corla possesses a broad knowledge of Texaco's global businesses and strong leadership skills," said Lynch. "She will be a strong asset to the Corporate Center team."
Davis was graduated from Occidental College in California with a bachelor of arts degree in geology in 1972 and the University of Southern California with a master of science degree in geology in 1976. In 1994, she earned a master of business administration degree from the London Business School.
Davis joined Texaco in 1976 as a Geologist in the West Coast Producing Department in Los Angeles and was appointed Assistant District Geologist in 1979. She relocated to the U.K. in 1980 and to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia in 1982, where she served as Exploration Area Manager for Aramco. Following various assignments of increasing responsibility, Davis was transferred to the Central Exploration Division's producing operations in Denver in 1987. She returned to the U.K. with Texaco Ltd. in 1990 where she worked as Sub-surface Team Leader for the Erskine project and as Business Analysis Coordinator with the Strategic Planning Group. Davis was promoted to Manager of Exploration and Production with Texaco Europe in 1995, and named Regional Director of Upstream Business Development for Russia the following year. In 1998, Davis was appointed Commercialization Manager - Trinidad, based in Houston, and named President of Texaco Trinidad earlier this year.
Davis will relocate to Texaco's Corporate Center in White Plains.
