SHELL/TEXACO/SAUDI ARAMCO ALLIANCE:
ASSETS TO BE DIVESTED

The FTC and state agreements require the divestiture of the following assets:

1. Shell's Anacortes, Wash., Refinery

  • The western alliance will divest this refinery, which has a rated capacity of 108,000 barrels per day.

2. Colonial/Plantation Pipelines

  • The western alliance must divest its interests in either the Colonial or Plantation pipelines. Texaco has a 14.27% interest in the Colonial pipeline and Shell has a 24.04% interest in the Plantation pipeline. These pipelines transport refined products from the Gulf Coast to the East Coast.

3. Shell and Texaco retail stations in San Diego

  • The western alliance must divest a limited number of Shell and Texaco retail stations in San Diego.

4. In Hawaii, either Shell's terminal and stations or Texaco's terminal and stations on the island of Oahu must be sold to an acceptable buyer.

5. In addition, the western alliance must release from their contracts Shell and Texaco jobbers and open dealers in Hawaii, and Shell jobbers and open dealers in Oregon and Washington, with the option to rebrand, if they choose.
