Texaco Press Release - Martin D. Finnegan Appointed Regional Vice President
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: FRIDAY, MARCH 3, 2000
LONDON, March 3 - Martin D. Finnegan has been named Regional Vice President of Texaco International Marketing and Manufacturing (TIMM), Benelux and West Africa Regions, effective May 1, it was announced today by TIMM President Eugene G. Celentano. Finnegan will relocate from Dublin to Texaco's Brussels office.
Finnegan, currently Managing Director, Texaco Ireland, succeeds Jim Hawn, who has been appointed Vice President of TIMM's UK and Ireland region, based in London.
Commenting on the appointment, Celentano said, "Martin has extensive international marketing experience in both the Benelux and Africa regions, which will be invaluable in his new post. That experience, coupled with his strong management skills, will enable him to build on Texaco's strengths in the two regions."
Finnegan graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor of science degree in political science in 1980 and earned a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies in 1982. He joined Texaco in 1983 as a marketing representative in Cote d'Ivoire. He was named District Representative in Martinique in 1989 and was promoted to Country Manager in Cameroon the following year. After several assignments of increasing responsibility, Finnegan was appointed Manager, Marketing & Engineering Benelux in 1997. He was appointed to his present position in February 1999.
