Texaco Press Release - Michael Hargrave Joins Texaco as Director of Sponsorships
FOR RELEASE: FRIDAY, JULY 23, 1999.
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., July 23 - Michael Hargrave is joining Texaco as Director of Sponsorships, effective September 1, 1999, it was announced today by Kjestine M. Anderson, Corporate Secretary and Vice President of Corporate Communications.
Hargrave will be responsible for the development and implementation of the overall strategy for all corporate sponsorship activities including the U.S. Olympic Team through 2004, the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, Robert Yates Racing, Newman-Haas Racing, the Texaco Grand Prix of Houston and the U.S. Tennis Open Championship. In making the announcement, Anderson said, "Mike Hargrave's considerable marketing and sponsorship experience will be a great asset to our company as we continue our efforts to strengthen our brand, image and reputation through corporate sponsorship activities."
Hargrave joins Texaco after 12 years with Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis, Mo., where he most recently was Senior Manager, Sports Marketing Group.
Hargrave was graduated from Butler University in Indianapolis, Ind., with a bachelor of science degree in radio/communications in 1980 and earned a master of science degree in sports administration in 1987 from Ohio University.
Hargrave will be located at Texaco's Corporate Center in White Plains, N.Y.
