Texaco Press Release - Patricia E. Scipio Joins Texaco Assenior Regional Manager, Internal Auditing
FOR RELEASE: MONDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2000.
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., Feb. 7 - Patricia E. Scipio has been appointed Senior Regional Manager in Texaco's Internal Auditing Department effective immediately, it was announced by LeRoy E. Bookal, General Auditor of Texaco Inc. Scipio most recently was a Director of Internal Auditing at Bell Atlantic in New York.
Scipio will have overall responsibility for the audits conducted at Corporate Headquarters, as well as operations in Europe, West Africa and the Middle East.
In making the announcement, Bookal said, "Patricia has a broad financial background that includes proven leadership skills in both the public accounting and private sector. She will be a strong contributor to our auditing team."
Scipio was graduated from Bernard M. Baruch College in New York City with a bachelor of business administration degree in public accountancy in 1979. She will complete an Executive MBA Program at Columbia University in April 2000.
A Certified Public Accountant, Scipio began her career at the public accounting firm Arthur Young & Co. as a staff auditor in 1979. She moved to Hoffmann-La Rouche Inc. in 1981, where she quickly moved through a series of assignments in the auditing and treasury areas of the company. In 1988, Scipio was named Corporate Controller for the New Jersey Transit Corporation. In 1995 Scipio joined NYNEX Corporation as Director of Finance and Planning. In 1996 she was named Director of Finance and Comptrollers. Following the merger of NYNEX with Bell Atlantic she was appointed Director of Internal Auditing in 1997.
Scipio will be located at Texaco's Corporate Center in White Plains.
