Texaco Press Release - Robert C. Gordan Named Fiscal Director for Texaco Global Businesses
FOR RELEASE: THURSDAY, MAY 11, 2000.
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., May 11 - Robert C. Gordan has been appointed Fiscal Director for Texaco Global Businesses, effective June 1, it was announced today by Glenn F. Tilton, Texaco Inc. Senior Vice President and President of Global Businesses. In his new assignment, Gordan will be primarily responsible for managing Texaco International Marketing and Manufacturing's (TIMM) financial position and will provide assistance to Texaco's alliance and joint-venture companies as needed.
Commenting on Gordan's appointment, Eugene Celentano, Texaco Vice President and President of TIMM said, "Bob's demonstrated leadership capabilities and his wealth of knowledge in financial management will serve as strong assets as we develop and implement our growth plans around the world."
Gordan graduated with a bachelor of science degree in finance from Fordham University, N.Y., in 1975, and earned a master of business administration degree in finance from Rutgers University, N.J., in 1977.
Gordan joined Texaco in 1979 as a financial and project analyst in the Finance Department at the company's corporate offices in White Plains, N.Y. He was named Senior Financial Analyst in 1984, and Assistant Manager of Financial Planning in the cash management function in 1986.
In 1990 Gordan was appointed Manager - International Finance at Texaco's Latin America/West Africa divisional headquarters in Coral Gables, Fla. He was reassigned to the Finance Department in White Plains as Director - Corporate Finance in 1992 and was named Assistant Treasurer in 1997.
Gordan succeeds Joseph M. Incorvaia, who has been named Associate General Tax Counsel in the Tax Department. Gordan will continue to be located at Texaco's corporate offices in White Plains.
