Texaco Press Release - Rosemary Moore Joins Texaco as Vice President of Corporate Communications
FOR RELEASE: TUESDAY, MAY 23, 2000.
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., May 23 - Rosemary Moore will join Texaco as Vice President of Corporate Communications and Government Affairs, effective June 1, it was announced today by Peter I. Bijur, Texaco Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Moore, who is currently an independent communications consultant, will have strategic management responsibility for Texaco's corporate communications activities, including public relations, government relations, advertising, brand strategy, sponsorships, community relations, philanthropy and internal communications.

"Rosemary Moore will direct our efforts across the entire array of public affairs disciplines to ensure world-class communications with all external and internal constituents. Her considerable experience in developing and executing effective strategies will add great value to our company as she leads our global team of communications specialists."
Before becoming an independent communications consultant in 1996, Moore served as Corporate Vice President, Corporate Communications for the Seagram Company Ltd. in New York. Moore joined Seagram in the United Kingdom in 1988 to establish its international communications and public affairs infrastructure. In 1990 she transferred to the company's corporate offices in New York with responsibility for direction and coordination of its worldwide communications.
Prior to joining the Seagram Company Moore served in a number of executive communications roles, including Editor - Oil and Gas Industry for the Business Publishing Division of the Financial Times, and as Managing Director and Managing Editor with M. Shanken International Ltd.
Moore will be located at Texaco's Corporate Center in White Plains.
