Texaco Press Release - Texaco, Equilon, Motiva Sign Aviation Fuels Marketing Agreements
FOR RELEASE: TUESDAY, MAY 25, 1999.
HOUSTON, May 25 -- Texaco, Equilon Enterprises LLC and Motiva Enterprises LLC have signed agreements for Texaco to become the sole marketer of aviation fuels produced by Equilon and Motiva refineries to the general aviation class of trade, it was announced today by Ronald C. Grundstein, General Sales Manager-North America of Texaco's International Aviation Sales Department.
Under the terms of the agreements, which became effective April 1, 1999, Texaco will assume Equilon's existing general aviation contracts. Both Texaco and Equilon will continue to market jet fuel to the airline industry. Motiva does not market aviation fuels.
Commenting on the agreements, Grundstein said, "These agreements provide Texaco the opportunity to expand our general aviation business which has played an integral role in the company's growth. Through these agreements, Texaco will be able to maximize efficiencies within our general aviation organization while continuing our high levels of customer service and improving our market competitiveness."
