Texaco Press Release - Texaco Foundation And Equilon Enterprises Donate $25,000 To Red Cross
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: FRIDAY MAY 7, 1999.
TULSA, Okla., May 7 The Texaco Foundation and Equilon Enterprises LLC today announced a total donation of $25,000 to the Red Cross in Oklahoma. The urgently-needed cash will help to fund the relief effort, currently underway in the region, following Monday's devastating tornadoes there.
Making the donation to The Red Cross on behalf of Texaco, Tulsa-based Texaco Senior Vice President of Texaco Natural Gas, James M. Collingsworth said, "Texaco has a long and close association with the State of Oklahoma and we, like everyone else here, have been touched by this terrible tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families."
As well as the cash donation to The Red Cross, Texaco and Equilon are working to provide emergency relief assistance to Texaco service station employees in Oklahoma who were affected by the storms.
