Chevron has been Delivering Energy for 120 Years
In December 2015, Chevron Shipping Co. celebrates the 120th anniversary of its founding, which is traced to 1895 when Pacific Coast Oil Company launched its first ship, the S.S. George Loomis. Technologically advanced in its day, the George Loomis was the first steel construction oil tanker to operate on the West Coast of the United States.
