chevron salt lake refinery and encircle celebrate PRIDE month
1 min read
June 1, 2022 — June is known as PRIDE month across the U.S. To help celebrate, Chevron’s PRIDE Employee Network partnered with Encircle, a local nonprofit focused on supporting LGBTQ+ youth and their families, to raise the PRIDE flag in front of the Chevron Salt Lake Refinery. Refinery leadership, Encircle CEO Stephanie Larson, members of the Chevron PRIDE Employee Network, and youth from Encircle participated in the event.
The PRIDE Employee Network at the Chevron Salt Lake Refinery was launched more than five years ago to help foster understanding and inclusion in the workplace and local community. The Refinery has partnered with Encircle since its founding and supports activities like its annual Youth Summit, which provides workshops, entertainment, and discussion groups for Utah’s LGBTQ+ community, parents allies, educators, and business leaders.
Since 1991, Chevron’s PRIDE Employee Network has worked to build a foundation for LGBTQ+ equality in the workplace.
