T. Ryder Booth
Chief Technology and Engineering Officer
Ryder Booth, 56, is Chief Technology and Engineering Officer of Chevron Corporation, a position he has held since June 2025. In this role, he is responsible for the development, scaling, project execution, and delivery of innovative technology solutions to support the current and future energy system. He also leads the company’s organizations in health, safety and environment, information technology, innovation, capital projects, facilities engineering, operations and turnarounds, asset retirement, global reserves, and supply chain management in support of Chevron’s global operations.
Previously, Booth served as vice president of Chevron’s Mid-Continent Business Unit from August 2021 to June 2025. In this role, he was responsible for managing Chevron’s large resource base of oil and liquids-rich assets in the Permian Basin in Texas and New Mexico. From January 2020 to August 2021, Booth served as vice president of Capital Projects. Prior to that, he served as the company’s Chief Procurement Officer.
Booth joined Chevron and its subsidiaries in 1991 as a facility engineer in the Mid-Continent Business Unit. During his 30-year career, Ryder has held numerous technical and management positions in its global upstream business, including assignments in Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Kazakhstan and the United States.
Booth graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Vanderbilt University.
